Got Lot?
OK, so, I have to post some pics...but, yikes, we have a lot!
The builder supposedly goofed and didn't send out all the invites to the housing event that took place today. They had 6 lots available...and WOW, there was one available, and they allowed us to sign up for one!!! Can you believe it?!?!?
So, we have to fax back some papers with some housing options and then they'll use that to write up a contract which they'll FedEx to us on Wednesday. Then we need to sign it all and send back a check (they call it "earnest money") to secure the lot and the house. Then, I guess, they break ground shortly thereafter.
The time to build the house will be in the contract, but there will be stipulations for weather and such things, saying it could take up to one year...but, it should only be 6 months... If that includes some of December, then, say Jan 15th is 1 month, Feb 15th is 2...and June 15th would be 6 months...so it just may be slightly possible that we would be moving into Summer's new home on/near her first birthday. Now, isn't that an amazing birthday gift?!
So, roughly, to get this started, here is the site for Tallgrass , the community we are moving to. And here is the home (Elevation C):
OK, that's it for now...we're in complete shock and don't know what to do now!
First things first...fill out the paperwork and let them get started. Two, ENJOY the holidays! Three, get started trying to sell the house. Four, get me a job out there. Finally, move to "The Springs", or as some people at work have been calling it (after The OC) "The CS". Will be quite interesting trying to juggle all the timing. Just one more challenge for the family. I'm fairly confident we can do it, and then, look at the REWARD! A great brand new home! Yippee!!!
