Upgrade to Sell

OK, so, we are doing a bunch of things to make our condo look like a model home. So that the price we're asking looks reasonable and there is nothing to really just turn a person away. We've done SO MANY upgrades. I'm sure many of you may remember this site. Where we had lots of pictures when we just moved in and showed the painting and such.

Since then we've done many other upgrades, the bathrooms, etc, as shown over time in Summer's two blogs. But, to keep it simple, here is one major thing we did this last week. We painted the grout in the kitchen to make it look a bit more open. The old grout...

Old=Small and Ugly
...made the place look disjointed and smaller.

With it newly repainted...

New=Open and Nice
...it looks a lot better. You can also tell by looking that the stove is new, as is the dishwasher. You can see the older white handles versus the new brushed nickel. Moved the towel holder from under the counter. Replaced the old browning power outlets and plates with new clean white ones (those were all older upgrades). As said, we've upgraded a LOT of things.

Did the same thing to the upstairs master bath. We hadn't gotten to that yet, so we painted the grout there, to match the tile a bit better and we are also going to pay a bit to have the tub refinished, so there isn't any staining on the tub, and the caulk will be all new and clean.

The idea is to not have anything that just stands out to remember as a negative. We hope this really helps the place sell quickly and for a good price.

Wish us luck!

Wow! What a difference a little paint can make. I always thought your kitchen was really cute, but changing the grout color really did bring the area together.
